Hi, I’m Josh, a Hajoca management trainee. My path to Hajoca is unique in that I was a recent college graduate AND looking to change careers. Don’t adjust your volume! That’s right, I was both. But how?

I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelors degree in finance. Upon graduation, I began to work in investments and quickly realized it wasn’t the right path for me. I didn’t enjoy being at my desk making phone calls. I was stuck in a reactionary environment. I wanted to be proactive!

Months earlier I had met with a Hajoca recruiter at a UCF career fair. They were seeking candidates for their management development program. The folks I interviewed with at Hajoca were genuine and gave the distinct impression that Hajoca was committed to investing in talent long term. So, I gave them a call!

Without a doubt, this was a very important phone call. This was my future.

I began interviewing again and was given the opportunity to join Hajoca as a regular full time employee. I accepted. I become familiar with Hajoca at the local level and had a chance to see the interworkings of the company. I was comfortable with career move I had made. After several months, I approached my Profit Center Manager about the training program and began the interview process again. The interview process was rigorous and fair. After successful completion, I was accepted and promoted into the Management training program.

A year later, I am officially a Hajoca trainee and I am continuing to learn the ropes the old fashioned way. Through hands on experience with customers, coworkers and management. With Hajoca, I have on the job training, work/life balance and the security of knowing I can build a long rewarding career.
